Shadow Embraced

No escape. Those words haunt 16-year-old Scarlet Devena’s dreams.

She thought the creature that terrorises her while asleep wasn’t real,

but when a blind woman kidnaps her and tells her she is too

dangerous to be left in society she starts to wonder whether she isn’t

some monster.

Sent to a reform school for witches, werewolves and vampires, Scarlet

must learn to blend in. But, she’s not like the others. She’s a Dhampir,

part-human and part-vampire. When the creature from her

nightmares threatens to take over, she has to learn to contain her

vampire side before she becomes the bloodthirsty monster everyone

thinks she is.

She turns to an underground fight club established by the students to

control her urges, and who is she kidding, she loves the thrill of the

fight.

When fighters begin to disappear and all evidence points to Scarlet as

the culprit, she must race to prove her innocence before her true

nature is exposed.

The only problem is that she’s not entirely sure she’s innocent.
